Bradley Road Baptist Church a church family of faith, hope, & love

About Bradley Road Baptist Church

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13.13

We have three core values at Bradley Road Baptist Church:

  • Love

This is how we interact. We respect all people and want only the best for everyone. What we say and what we do is a direct reflection of our heart for the people of Colorado Springs. And we want you to hear and see love when you visit Bradley Road Baptist Church.

  • Faith

This is how we operate. We believe in God and we believe in the Bible. But we don’t feel it is enough to believe in God or the Bible. We believe God and we believe in the Bible. We believe faith is more than just believing in God or knowing what the Bible says. To us, faith is doing, a way of life, an opportunity to risk and live. We believe in God, but we also believe Him enough to dream the impossible and to take positive steps in that direction.

  • Hope

This is how we communicate. Ask the average person what they expect to hear from church and the response almost always seems to be the same: judgmentalism, criticism, and elitism. When you visit Bradley Road Baptist Church, what you will hear communicated is hope. Our message is the message of the Bible, the message of hope in that you don’t have to be alone, there second and third chances, you have possibilities and a bright future.

The Basics About Bradley Road Baptist Church

What Do You Believe?

We have plans to elaborate on our beliefs as we continue to develop our website. Until then we’ll give you the short answer. Feel free to contact us for a more detailed listing.

  • We believe there is one God, who has manifested Himself in the form of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Father is God; Jesus is God; the Holy Spirit is God.
  • We believe God died to save all of humanity. Because all of us, (you, me, your neighbor, crazy uncle Bill), make mistakes, have hurt people and ourselves. Jesus chose to pay the penalty for us all so we can have the opportunity for forgiveness and to go to Heaven.
  • We believe being saved is about who you know, specifically, knowing Jesus. It’s not about working for it, being extra good, never saying a cuss word. Salvation is a gift that God gives to everyone who simply believes, even if for just a moment.
  • We believe the Bible. We take it seriously and literally.
  • We believe in local churches. Our church is not perfect because we aren’t perfect. But local churches are a place where you can realize you don’t have to be alone and there a tons of people just like you.
  • We believe in baptism. Complete immersion in water because it demonstrates that we have decided to live a new life and have left our old way of thinking in the dust.

What Are Your Goals?

We have three basic goals: Reaching In, Building Up, Sending Out.

  • We want to reach into Colorado Springs with love and hope so our friends and neighbors know God loves them.
  • We want to build up believers so they can grow in their faith and begin to realize God’s journey for their lives.
  • We want to send out Christ followers who can evangelize, teach, and lead others in Colorado Springs and beyond.

Why Do You Have An Aspen Leaf In Your Logo?

That was our pastor’s idea.

He believes the most beautiful part of Colorado are the Aspen leaves, especially as they change in the fall - even if they only stay for a week or so. But the Aspen leaf is also a metaphor for our lives. While God loves us just the way we are, He loves us far too much to leave us that way. As the leaves change color, it’s a reminder for us that we are to “…be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12.2).
